Rupal M Patel, PT, DPT

Rupal is the owner and founder of Bodywise.  She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami (FL) following completion of her BS in Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Austin. She then went to live and work in Europe where she discovered her passion for Pilates Based Rehabilitation.  Rupal studied Pilates in London with the internationally renown Pilates educator, Polestar Pilates and holds a Pilates certification from the Pilates Method Alliance.

Rupal's vision through Bodywise is to help people realize their potential through mindful movement. She strongly believes in the power of meditation and the mind-body connection and integrates this work into her practice.

When Rupal is not working towards spreading the message of the power of mind body work, she is spending time by her backyard pond with her pup Lou or climbing rocks all around Austin and the US.

Kristy Demers, PT, DPT

Kristy began her education at Texas A&M University with a BS in Kinesiology, followed by her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. While at Wash U, Kristy studied and trained under world-renowned leaders in the classification and treatment of movement related disorders.  It was there she began her journey of helping others understand and transform the way they move to make lasting changes in their bodies. Kristy sees her expertise in being able to see and treat the subtle variations from idealmovement that lead to faulty movement patterns and ultimately pain.

Kristy’s journey furthered continued when she sought her Pilates Certification through Peak Pilates.  She assisted in the development and teaching of a master level Pilates continuing education program, Discover*Move*Inspire, aimed at progressing the skill set of experienced Pilates instructors.  Further training includes continuing education on various manual therapy techniques, postural restoration, Ashton Patterning, kinesiology taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and biomechanical assessments.

Outside the clinic, Kristy spends her time (if not all of it) chasing after her two energetic and passionate little boys, cherishing time with her husband, and enjoying the beauty of the great Austin outdoors.
