Rupal Goradia PT, DPT, CPT
Rupal Goradia is the owner and founder of Bodywise Physical Therapy & Pilates Rehab. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami (FL) following completion of her BS in Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Austin. She then went to live and work in Europe where she discovered her passion for Pilates Based Rehabilitation. She studied Pilates in London with the internationally renown Pilates educator, Polestar Pilates. Rupal currently holds a Pilates certification from the Pilates Method Alliance.Rupal has an interest in how learned movement can enrich all areas of our life (especially emotional and social spheres) and strongly believes in a holistic view of wellness. She is excited to be back in Texas sharing her passion for beautifully balanced movement with her fellow Texans.
Lita Ovalle
Lita has had a life-long involvement in the world of dance, fitness, and the study of movement. She holds an AA of Dance/Performance Art and has studied human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and corrective movement. In addition, she is a National Association of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and is CPR certified. Before coming to Austin, she worked as Assistant Director of dance, dance and fitness instructor, and lead performer of the Mosaic Dance Company in Santa Fe, NM.
Lita relocated to Austin in ’08 where she was introduced to the Pilates Method. She found the training to be fundamental to improving her dance technique and correcting body imbalances while helping her achieve a greater sense of overall well-being. As a teacher, Lita shares her passion for Pilates and inspires health and balance in others.
April Perez
April began practicing pilates as a dance student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance. After receiving her degree, she moved to New York City to continue her dance training at The Ailey School and studied a contemporary approach to the pilates method at the STOTT PILATES Training Center. April has taught in various settings including pilates studios, yoga studios, gyms, community centers and physical therapy clinics.
Through her background in dance, pilates, and in dealing with her own injuries, April has begun pursuing her interest in Physical Therapy. She has worked at various clinics in Austin and New York City, observing and assisting specialists in orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and performing arts medicine.
April is a fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor and is excited to be back in Austin sharing her love for mindful movement with her fellow Austinites.
